This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies Pro HR uses, why, and how you can control them. It applies to our website and application. Last updated: 5 October 2026.
What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files a website saves on your device. “Similar technologies” such as local storage, session storage and IndexedDB do the same job inside your browser. We refer to all of them as “cookies” below.
Who is responsible
[Legal entity name] ([Organisation / registration number]), [Postal address], is the controller. Contact: [privacy contact email]. How we handle personal data more generally is described in our privacy policy.
Your choice
When you first visit, we ask whether you accept optional cookies. Strictly necessary cookies are always on; analytics cookies are off until you allow them. Declining, or closing the banner, is a valid choice and the service works the same either way. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer of our pages. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that happened before you withdrew it.
Strictly necessary
These are needed to provide a service you asked for, such as signing in. Under the ePrivacy rules they do not require consent, so they cannot be switched off here (you can block them in your browser, but parts of the service will stop working).
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
@AUTH_TOKEN, @REFRESH_TOKEN | Local storage | Keep you signed in and let the service talk to its API securely. | Until you sign out or the session expires |
cookie_consent | Local storage | Remembers your cookie choice so we don’t ask on every visit. | 12 months |
quiz_timer | Local storage | Keeps an assessment timer accurate if the page is reloaded. | Until the assessment ends |
userDetails | Local storage | Holds the details you typed while creating an account, between sign-up steps. | Until sign-up completes |
from_public_job | Session storage | Returns you to the job you were applying for after you sign in. | Until you close the tab |
Analytics (optional)
With your consent we use Google Analytics for Firebase to measure how the service is used. Google acts as our processor for this; see our list of subprocessors for transfer details.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga, _ga_<id> | Cookie (Google) | Count visits and see which pages are used, so we can improve the service. Set only if you allow analytics. | Up to 2 years |
Firebase installation ID | IndexedDB (Google) | Gives the analytics SDK an anonymous identifier for your browser. Created only if you allow analytics. | Until cleared |
Managing cookies in your browser
You can also delete or block cookies and site data in your browser settings. If you delete site data, we will ask for your cookie choice again.
Legal basis
Storing or reading information on your device is governed by the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) as implemented in Swedish law by the Electronic Communications Act (lag (2022:482) om elektronisk kommunikation). Consent is required except for storage that is strictly necessary to deliver a service you requested. Where cookies involve personal data, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) also applies; consent for analytics is given under GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and 7.
Complaints
Cookie rules are supervised in Sweden by Post- och telestyrelsen (PTS), and personal data by Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY), the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (https://www.imy.se). See your data rights.
Changes
If we add or change optional cookies we will update this page and ask for your choice again.
